As part of our Application Development & Support organization, you will predominantly be involved in leading the support activities for Database applications – SQL, Informatica and Oracle. You will serve as the ‘Subject Matter Expert’ and provide guidance in cloud and next gen data technologies. The Application Support Team Lead has the secondary ownership of service delivery, maintaining the service levels and stability in the portfolio in tandem with the IT Manager.

Primary Responsibilities ~crlf~~crlf~* Lead/provide day-to-day support and maintenance activities for DBA related service delivery~crlf~* Ensure that the entire database environment’s high availability and disaster recovery is functional~crlf~* Drive monitoring and automation for database applications~crlf~* Transform DBA support with next gen data and cloud technologies such as Kafka and PostgreSQL~crlf~* Support the team with difficult and complex database design and coding problems and provide technical guidance to others~crlf~* Investigate complex data and/or program problems; determine source of problem; take corrective action~crlf~* Create / Lead database maintenance procedures and backup/restore methods to protect the enterprise data; create innovative strategies and best practices to replicate the data to provide high availability~crlf~* Lead productivity improvement programs and preventive maintenance initiatives s~crlf~Identify and drive improvements for SLA performance~crlf~* Review tickets inflow for applications in the portfolio and ensure assignment to appropriate teams~crlf~* Drive triage for high visibility incidents and communicate updates to AZL leadership - IT and Business~crlf~* Conduct Incident Prioritization meetings with Business/Capability~crlf~* Provide work direction to vendor teams based on Incident Prioritization~crlf~* Provide support to ASM Vendor Managers to schedule changes for release for CRs and enhancement (<100 hours effort)~crlf~* Manage and drive RCA process and ensure closure within stipulated timeframe~crlf~* Manage Incidents backlog and drive for closure~crlf~Participate in Incident / Problem / RCA management meetings ~crlf~* Provide support for internal audits~crlf~* Provide support for disaster recovery testing initiatives~crlf~* Facilitate weekly/monthly presentations with IT Manager to explain the health (reliability, availability) of the application~crlf~~crlf~Other Skills~crlf~* Excellent attention to detail~crlf~* Problem-solving and critical thinking~crlf~* Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms~crlf~* Good multitasking abilities~crlf~* Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming~crlf~* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills~crlf~* Good organization, time management and prioritization~crlf~* Efficient troubleshooting abilities~crlf~* Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening~crlf~* Great customer service and interpersonal skills~crlf~

Required Technical Skills~crlf~ ~crlf~* Familiarity with database queries~crlf~* Knowledge of database design and theories~crlf~* Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to set up, maintain and monitor data networks~crlf~* Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL or SQL/PSM~crlf~* Experience with server maintenance~crlf~* Familiarity with database management best practices~crlf~* Very good understanding and hand on experience in SQL, Informatica and Oracle databases~crlf~* Experience in cloud and next gen data technologies~crlf~* Should have ‘continuous improvement’ and automation mind set ~crlf~* Should serve as “Subject Matter Expert” for DBA applications support and maintenance~crlf~* Experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL is a plus~crlf~~crlf~Education and Experience~crlf~~crlf~* Four-year degree preferred: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience~crlf~~crlf~Experience:~crlf~~crlf~* Required 10+ years of relevant technical and business work experience~crlf~~crlf~Certification~crlf~* Relevant technical certification is a plus~crlf~
