Team Leader Standard Claims Liability (m/f/d)
We are looking for an Team Leader Standard Claims Liability to join the Claims Liability Team at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Cologne.~crlf~ ~crlf~Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Claims Liability & Financial Lines , you will leading and managing a team of senior claims handlers. You are also handle all standard claims types, in both lead and following capacity. You ensure claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines. You will utilize third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers and you also develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
In this role you will…~crlf~##Lead and manage team of senior claims experts~crlf~##Training, developing and coaching of less experienced staff ~crlf~##Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate AGC&S Claims administration systems ~crlf~##Manage timely production of management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements) and proactively identify loss trends~crlf~##Investigate standard claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures~crlf~##Determine appropriate reserving levels~crlf~##Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters)~crlf~##Settle standard claims through payment or denial~crlf~##Negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement~crlf~##Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims complex procedures and guidelines~crlf~##Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate~crlf~##Undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate~crlf~##Participate in meetings with clients to promote AGCS claims handling capacities~crlf~##Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives~crlf~##Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)~crlf~
##Preferably a degree in Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline~crlf~##Deep and relevant professional experience (min. 3+ years) in insurance markets and competitor landscape~crlf~##Specialized understanding of LoB products and portfolio with technical specialist knowledge~crlf~##Knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery~crlf~##Well recognized established relationship building with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market~crlf~##Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework~crlf~##Significant experience in working in complex, global matrix organization leading a team of professionals~crlf~##Ability to lead and manage a team of underwriters. Includes the ability to delegate tasks, steer team direction/goals, etc.~crlf~##Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions~crlf~##Ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties~crlf~##Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex in a simple way to understand the terminology.~crlf~##Fluent in German, good command of English~crlf~
