Risk Management Analyst (Fresh Graduate)
The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and coordination of risk management and control~crlf~activities.~crlf~ ~crlf~This is a specialist role and does not have any staff reporting into the position.
##Monitoring and reporting of top risks, incl. key risk indicators~crlf~##Interaction with the business (i.e. 1st line of defense) on focused risk management topics (including definition or risk management measures)~crlf~##Support qualitative and quantitative risk management, including risk identification, risk assessment, risk analysis, control assessment~crlf~##Support preparation of standard and ad-hoc management reports~crlf~##Any other duties, responsibilities and/or projects, as assigned by the Manager(s)~crlf~
##Professional experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management~crlf~##Project and team work in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~##Hands-on experience in stochastic financial and risk modeling~crlf~##Experience in qualitative and quantitative risk management / risk controlling / risk reporting~crlf~ ~crlf~Education/Certification~crlf~##Excellent qualification, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or any other analytical science. Risk Management / Actuarial / Financial designation~crlf~##At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or analytical sciences~crlf~##Risk Management / Actuarial / Financial designation or professional qualification(s) would be looked at favourably.~crlf~##Fresh graduates are welcome to apply~crlf~ ~crlf~Technical Skills~crlf~##Finance and Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs management view) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting~crlf~##Knowledge of qualitative risk management techniques (risk identification, assessment, analysis and control) and ability to apply them appropriately~crlf~##Quantitative financial and risk modeling know-how and skills~crlf~##Extensive computer skills (MS Office incl. VBA and relevant expert systems such as Matlab, R, SQL or Java, etc.)~crlf~ ~crlf~General Skills:~crlf~##Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.~crlf~##Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation~crlf~##Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)~crlf~##Influencing Others: The ability to positively influence others' actions, decisions, opinions or thinking resulting in positive outcomes.
