At Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) our Accounting department is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely production of AGCS’ financial information, that produces valuable financial insights for the company and helps to protect its assets.~crlf~ ~crlf~Reporting to the Head of Global Treaty Reinsurance Accounting, based in Munich, you are part of the Global Technical Accounting and Reporting team. You will be responsible for the (re-)insurance related positions in the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements of AGCS. Furthermore you will prepare the financial statements according to IFRS, Solvency 2 and HGB and you proactively contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives at a global level.

In this role you will…~crlf~##Ensure that all assigned closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, other internal/external reporting requirements) are accurate and performed in time. ~crlf~##Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, NAIC reporting, other internal/external reporting requirements) related to own area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basis.~crlf~##Stay abreast of regulatory and Allianz Group accounting policy changes and ensure compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.~crlf~##Assist in the monitoring and strengthening of internal controls over technical accounting.~crlf~##Check the input and output data of all handled processes for plausibility and accuracy, including supervision of outsourced tasks.~crlf~##Actively contribute to improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes and workflows as well as the implementation of global policies and procedures.~crlf~##Substantiate AGCS' global balance sheet and P&L and identify and review conspicuous entries and take required actions (e.g. proactive communication to relevant stakeholders, error correction and process improvements).~crlf~##Reconcile and resolve complex accounting transactions.~crlf~

##Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Accounting or you are qualified by experience in related discipline~crlf~##First experience in (re-)insurance, P&C insurance, asset management, financial audit, controlling or similar financial area~crlf~##Proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for (re-)insurance ~crlf~##Good understanding of insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including drivers and you are able to perform financial statements analysis (e.g. Ratio Analysis) and reconciliations~crlf~##Basic knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations (IFRS, Solvency 2, HGB) for (re-)insurance and familiarity with the relevant legislation and standards ~crlf~##Ability to manage projects and handle complex processes including understanding of data flows, documentation of processes, analysis of root causes and creation of action plans~crlf~##Resolutely customer-focused with the ability to handle complex processes (in particular in the closing and reporting context) ~crlf~##Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills~crlf~##Advanced Office skills like Excel, Access & PowerPoint (to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion) and proficiency in using systems in own area (like SAP, Business Warehouse)~crlf~##Strong communication and presentation skills~crlf~##You are comfortable working both in a team and independently, in an international and dynamic environment~crlf~##Fluent in English; German and/or French of advantage~crlf~
