Senior Enterprise Architect - Cloud & Data Center in Technology Architecture & Innovation

About the Job 

 

You will be working with the team that drives the technology and IT architecture transformation - moving one of the largest global financial service providers towards a technology-driven company and embracing technology innovation at the core of our business.

 

As a Senior Enterprise Architect , you are responsible for shaping and driving our global Public Cloud First strategy, contributing to our vision as a technology-driven insurer. Influencing the overarching technology strategy, you will be closely working with technology experts, IT architects, business sponsors and product owners.

 

 

What you do

 

  • Shape the Public Cloud First strategy of Allianz Group, from strategic directions to data center and application transformation globally, acting as an ambassador for Public within Allianz Group
  • Contribute to shaping the technology vision and strategy for the Allianz Group in line with the overall IT Strategy of the Allianz Group.
  • Make recommendations on technology and architecture strategies for Cloud and DataCenter Architecture, including the cloud and data center footprint, application transformation strategies, and migration patterns
  • Take accountability for establishing architecture patterns, blueprints and platform services implementing the Public Cloud First strategy, including activities such as requirements analysis, technical high-level design, technology research and evaluation, technology advocacy, proof-of-concept work, and resource coordination
  • Prepare and deliver architecture and technology briefings, including presentations, talks, and white papers
  • Work across the company to drive the adoption of technical standards, design principles and architecture methodologies as well as providing technical guidance and mentoring to other architects and engineers
  • Travel for meetings, technical reviews and other onsite activities

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Excellent understanding of Public Cloud strategies, architecture, service provider offerings, and principles for IT infrastructure, application transformation, and migration strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience in Public Cloud strategy, enterprise cloud transformation, or large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
  • High proficiency in overarching product or platform architecture, preferably through enterprise or solution architecture experience in large-scale platform or product contexts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence a diverse audience and effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work experience in a highly diverse, international environment, with prior experience in business-related functions (e.g., Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Digital/Tech, etc.) as a plus.
  • At least 6-10 years of relevant working experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure, or platform architecture with strong exposure to Public Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture with a focus on technical architecture
  • MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
