Senior Controller - SAP and Masterdata Specialist

The Allianz Technology Finance Hub in Barcelona is looking for a Senior Controller for the area of SAP CO Closing and Master data in the department of Steering and Reporting.

The department of Steering and Reporting is an integral part of the Controlling Function of Allianz Technology. Our mission is to allocate costs in a way that we can steer the company and provide financial insights to the Senior Management, following the principle of putting numbers behind actions and actions behind numbers. We are a dynamic and international team working on operational Controlling topics with passion for detail and in strong collaboration with IT Function Controlling, Accounting as well as Finance Transformation.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controller with a specialized focus on SAP CO Closing and SAP CO Master data to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a very good knowledge of the SAP CO module, with a strong understanding of SAP FI, SAP CO-PA, and SAP BW. The candidate should be able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a clear focus on achieving monthly closing in a timely and high-quality manner.

You Will 

• You will be responsible for both executing and supervising the monthly closing process within the SAP CO module, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the monthly closing timelines.
• Your extensive knowledge of SAP CO Master data will provide strong support to the CO Master data team, ensuring data integrity and consistency in both closing and reporting.
• Your effective collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure seamless integration between SAP CO, SAP FI and SAP BW.
• You will supervise the SAP CO authorization concept by providing guidance to junior colleagues in collaboration with the SAP IT team.
• Following a successful start at Allianz Technology, you will play a key role in supporting the long-term migration to SAP S4/Hana, leveraging your expertise in SAP CO and contributing to a successful transition.

Your Skills 

• You have at least 6+ years of experience within Controlling or Accounting related environment in an international matrix organization or in a comparable consulting company.
• Certification in SAP CO/FI including necessary customizing skills or a demonstrable proficiency in these areas through your professional experience is required.
• You have experience with process improvements and optimization within the SAP CO environment.
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
