As Operations & IT transformation manager cluster lead you will be responsible to actively drive assigned Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) towards the defined priorities and target picture by strategically supporting the implementation and harmonization of relevant Operations & IT projects, giving recommendations, and reporting to the respective Governance bodies within the Allianz

 

You Will

 

  • Lead and manage (potentially multi-located cluster team) towards high performance and position the cluster as a committed partner for the Operating Entities (OEs) 
  • Be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and actively steering the implementation of the Operations & IT priorities in each in OE, representing the end-to-end point of view of each market / global line.
  • In your position, you are responsible for providing transparency on all defined Ops & IT priorities pertaining to the respective OE.
  • Actively steer transformation roadmaps for the realization of global and local Operations & IT strategy (putting it into the OE context)
  • Actively steer major IT investments and its related benefits: Content of portfolio structure, creation of ITCo presentations jointly with the OE; Ensuring that critical topics are identified and analyzed (identify issues, analyze their root causes and their impact, e.g. on financials, timeline, scope), recommend and push for appropriate measures to get project back-on track
  • Coordinate and orchestrate various steering tools of Allianz Group such as Business & IT Strategy sessions (BITTS) / Operations & IT strategy sessions (OPITSS), IT Steering Boards (ITSB), and Strategic Dialog and PD process
  • Create and prepare quarterly KPI dashboards, and monitor IT Committees project status
  • Coordinate the he exception management process jointly with Architecture teams
  • Monitor and assess the OEs IT project portfolio and projects including recommendations for program/project reviews, assessments and recommendations to the decision making bodies

 

 

Your skills

  • Exceptional academic background in IT, Economics or Business Administration (diploma or master's degree)
  • 5 years of managerial experience, leading and managing people and teams within a complex global environment
  • Deep understanding of Operations and IT and their interrelation with business
  • Proven experience of international project management within large and complex IT projects (system implementation/integration programs, IT transformation) supported by a Project Management Certification (e.g PMP, SAFe, PRINCE2) and knowledge of project management tools
  • Very good understanding of financial and operational steering, KPIs, and related impacts
  • Excellent quality management skills with an ability to ensure data correctness, quality, and integrity.
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry
  • Excellent MS-Office skills in particular PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint
  • Preferably knowledge in SAP Integrated Planning and WAVE
  • Professional fluency in English, including proficiency in written English.
  • Travel is required (~10%) to Allianz destinations world-wide, also on short notice
