Job Purpose Role

 

The Head of Finance and Controlling for Platform is responsible for overseeing the financial management and controlling functions within Allianz Direct's platform business area. This role ensures financial planning, analysis, and control activities are aligned with strategic business objectives and contribute to the growth and stability of the platform.

 

Key Responsibilities


1.  Business Case Development:
•  Develop and maintain the platform business case and ensure alignment with participating stakeholders and customers to ensure a sustainable platform result
•  Design and implement pricing and charging models to optimize revenue and resource allocation in alignment with the engineering department and individual service and product managers.
•  Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives, planned budget and platform service quality.


2.  Cost Control and Management:
•  Monitor and control IT platform costs, ensuring budget adherence and resource optimization.
•  Implement time and invoice tracking processes to accurately assess and report on resource utilization and project portfolio tracking.
•  Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
•  Closely align with internal and external cost contributors to ensure budget plans are kept in line with plan.


3.  Service Management:
•  Oversee the service management function of the platform services, ensuring a common framework across such Services.
•  Such framework includes: service level agreements (SLAs), pricing/charging models and underlying budget management for run and change.
•  Coordinate with IT operations teams to address service issues and drive continuous improvement in alignment with the customers.

Education & Experience

Master's degree

10+ years in finance and controlling, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a tech or platform-oriented environment.

Language: English
