We are looking for you! We are hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Intern – Global Private Debt (f/m/d). The position will be based in our Frankfurt am Main office

 

In this role you will be part of the AllianzGI Alternatives investment platform which manages more than EUR 98 billion in assets and comprises around 170 investment professionals. The Global Private Debt team invests globally in corporate, real estate, infrastructure as well as energy transition private debt funds with a focus on senior, subordinated and opportunistic credit strategies.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the sourcing, analysis, and implementation of private debt fund investments, to prepare investment committee approvals and to further develop our portfolio monitoring and client reporting.

 

In this role you will work for one of the world’s largest private debt fund investors in an increasingly agile environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced and dynamic investment team throughout the whole investment process - from due diligence over the investment decision to ongoing portfolio monitoring - with plenty of opportunities to learn.

 

What you will do

 

  • Perform market analysis and research on private debt investment opportunities along a variety of countries, regions and asset classes
  • Contribute to private debt fund investment proposals through qualitative and quantitative due diligence analysis in areas such as investment strategy, structuring expertise, ESG, historical track record, and expected returns
  • Work closely with the investment team on preparing presentations for the investment committee
  • Contribute to regular and ad-hoc portfolio monitoring, performance measurement and client reporting
  • Prepare for and actively participate in meetings with asset managers
  • Contribute to data analytics and ongoing portfolio management
  • Perform project work, e.g. development and implementation of new product initiatives

 

What you bring

 

  • You have completed your undergraduate studies in finance, economics, or mathematics with excellent results and you are currently registered in a master’s program in one of those fields
  • You are interested in capital markets and investments; fixed income know-how is advantageous. Previous work experience in the financial industry is a plus
  • You take initiative and can work independently within an international and dynamic environment
  • You have an inquisitive mind and you are a quick learner
  • You possess strong analytical skills and work very diligently even under time pressure
  • You are fluent in English in writing and speaking. German language skills are a plus

    • Your availability, including the exact desired start and end dates, as well as any flexibility
    • The expected end date of your student status
    • Whether the internship is voluntary, or compulsory by your university program.
  • You must have a valid enrolment certificate issued by your university for the entire duration of your internship.
  • For non-EU/EEA nationals who study in Germany, you may not surpass the maximum working day allowance during your internship with us.

Good to know:

 

  • You must have a valid enrolment certificate issued by your university for the entire duration of your internship. For non-EU/EEA nationals who study in Germany, you may not surpass the maximum working day allowance during your internship with us.
