Global Non-IT Procurement, as part of Global Services Procurement, is responsible for the worldwide procurement of services and products in the following 4 categories: Non-IT Professional Services, Marketing and Communication and Insurance Procurement.

Our strategic procurement experts manage a global network of suppliers in order to cover the needs of our internal business partners.

Sustainability has gained in relevance tremendously within the last year and we have two large programs where Global Non-IT Procurement is playing a key role: Sustainable Procurement (incl. IT) and Sustainable Claims. In both areas we are exploring and implementing sustainable concepts together with our suppliers.


Job Task/Description

  • Support the Global Sourcing and Procurement team develop the sustainability strategy for all categories of spend including claims, IT and Non-IT
  • Manage and drive projects that support the global implementation of sustainability within procurement and claims
  • Take responsibility for implementation and execution of sustainability initiatives
  • Embed sustainability in the procurement process, ensuring the translation of strategy into execution
  • Support the creation of executive papers and AZ Group Guidelines utilising your sustainability expertise
  • Develop policies and procedures to embed sustainability within vendors
  • Drafting and preparation of management reports (presentations, proposals)
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate across multiple regions and geographies within our vendors and the AZ Group


Candidate Profile/Requirements

  • Degree in Sustainability or experience within the environment sustainability sector
  • Expertise in sustainability management, including GHG emissions, science-based targets, and human rights topics
  • Knowledge and experience of operations, sourcing and procurement (insurance Claims a benefit)
  • Knowledge of circular economy processes and principles
  • Relevant experience in sustainability strategy and reporting
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Experience of delivering projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English (other languages a benefit)
  • Autonomous style of working, but also collaborative and team oriented
  • Embracing change, innovative and open mindset
  • Comfortable of working in environments with high complexity
  • Hands-on approach, involving the necessary skills / functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets, strong result orientation
  • Capability to take up responsibility and be accountable for a project or a team
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Products
