Job Purpose/Role
Enterprise Architecture is the central architecture authority within Allianz Technology, the IT service provider for the Allianz Group. 
Our responsibilities include defining guidelines and best practices, enabling strategic initiatives to find compliant and efficient solution architectures, reviewing solution architectures with strategic relevance, and fostering an active global architecture community. We work as a diverse, globally distributed virtual team and work with architects dispersed across the regions and functions of Allianz Technology. Working in a federated manner is both challenging and rewarding as goals are achieved through consistent communication, solid architectural foundations, and constructive collaboration between skilled individuals and teams with different cultures, different mindsets, and different ambitions; all working together to help make Allianz agile and efficient in its business operations. 


Business Architecture
Business Architecture ensures the alignment of IT Strategy, Business Strategy, Business Capabilities and IT Governance.  Always considering the solutions design and architecture from a business perspective and an Enterprise wide point of view.  The ability to develop open relationships with all stakeholders is key to success to bring together viewpoints of Business for technology and solutions design.  Understanding and providing capability mapping and resulting Business Architecture viewpoints and techniques such as capability led rationalisation, maturity assessments, capability led planning, and requirements traceability.  Always looking to the Business Scope, Value and benefits before technology.


Key Responsibilities
•    Assess the compatibility and integration of products and services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies within Allianz Technology. 
•    Drive alignment of Allianz Technology and OE IT technology landscape with the enterprise architecture target picture, including system retirement 
•    Define, implement and maintain the IT architecture target picture to accelerate Allianz' future strategy and opportunities 
•    Establish the IT architecture framework and develop the IT architecture roadmap, conducting architecture reviews based on applicable standards and target blueprints as part of the architecture governance at Allianz Technology, following up on findings and supporting projects. 
•    Support the EA function in the identification of new demand and projects where the adoption of Business Architecture techniques can add value and benefit to successful outcomes
•    Input to, development and communication of Business Architecture techniques at Allianz Technology  (including input and on-going development of models and references)
•    Management of a Business Architecture knowledge base
•    Perform Business Architecture/Enterprise Architecture activities for Strategic Projects in support of the success of meeting Business needs and aims.
•    Support the Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead in the development of the practice of Business Architecture across Allianz Technology.


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience 

This role would suit an experienced Business Analyst or Business Partner who has the technology and architecture understanding to move into an architecture role or an IT Architect who has an approach which is less technical and more business, business requirements and alignment focused.

•    Understanding of at least one Architecture Domain; Business, Infrastructure, Data, Application or Security
•    Relevant work experience in IT Applying analytical thinking, moderation and presentation skills 
•    Higher education degree in IT or comparable education 
•    Certification on IT Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) 
•    Exposure to Architecture Modelling Tools (ADoIT, Archimate etc)
•    Profound communication skills and the ability to negotiate with a diverse audience, e.g. on senior level 
•    Ability to work fully independent and solve complex problems or situations based on multiple sources of information
•    Ensuring that Enterprise Architecture initiatives and Group IT Strategy regarding Architecture are achieved and milestones are met
•    Rapidly evolving architecture standards and technology requiring constant awareness and education
