As a member of Allianz Group, Allianz Global Benefits specializes in arranging and packaging local Employee Benefits insurance solutions into global programs and operates a worldwide network of insurers in many countries.  These solutions are provided to multinational corporations and global brokers and encompass the full range of corporate protection and pension products and services available within the network.  Headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, it has on-site experts based in regional Allianz offices across multiple continents. The Tech Lead will be part of the Digital Solutions team and will focus on further driving the digitalisation of our company, focusing on the further enhancement of some of our IT products portfolio and on the integration of our systems into an end to end ecosystem, fully automated.



Key Duties:

  • Drive the further development of our internal Data Warehouse and reporting infrastructure (incl. requirements management, coding reviews)  and integration thereof with other information systems
  • Analyze existing business processes, needs and tools and translate them into automated data flows and software requirements
  • Mantain the IT Devops Infrastructure (from Cloud Provisioning, Database Administration, Migration, SSL Certificate Renewal, security standards etc.



  • Ideally 4-6 years relevant job experience as a full stack or backend software developer and or business analyst, technical architect, technical product owner.


Must have core skills:

  • Extensive development experience in one of the object oriented languages: Python (or Java, C#) etc
  • Solid understanding of backend and frontend development
  • Knowledge of one of the cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Experience in understanding business needs and translating them into IT requirements
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Relational Database design
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to quickly grasp on team needs and offer suggestions above and beyond what they are asking for
  • Entrepreneurial thinking paired with a creative and proactive attitude towards problem solving and delivering results 


Nice to have / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of insurance, financial sector, risk management
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, SSH
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of Django and Django REST Framework
  • Knowledge of Angular 8+
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL
