Headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, it has on-site experts based in regional Allianz offices across multiple continents. The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the IT& Digital Solutions team and will focus on further driving the digitalisation of our company, focusing on the further enhancement of some of our IT products portfolio and on the integration of our systems into an end to end ecosystem, fully automated.




  • Analyze existing business processes and tools and translate them into automated data flows 

  • Design the functionality and interactions of the Digital Solutions information systems in order to drive digitalization of AGB

  • Collaborate with main stakeholders to understand business developments, needs and derive IT requirements 

  • Involved in further development of AGB’s Data Warehouse (DWH), driving its integration with other systems

  • Further enhance our client reporting infrastructure for multinational clients in alignment with the Reporting Team and in close collaboration with the Data Collection Team and Sales department

  • Analyze future trends  (IT tools and technologies) and their potential impact on the company for continuous automation

  • Ensure and drive a smooth working relationship with stakeholder




Skillset required

We are looking for candidates with a strong technical background that have an interest in pursuing further a career as tech lead.




  • Minimum 5 years relevant job experience as a full stack or backend software developer, technical architect, technical product owner

Must have core skills

  • Extensive development experience in one of the object oriented languages : Java, C#, Python etc

  • Strong understanding of backend development

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Relational Database design

  • MVP approach to development

  • Ability to design IT processes, with focus on automation and digitalization

  • Experience in understanding business needs and translating them into IT requirements  

  • Good understanding of unit and integration testing

  • Knowledge of one of the cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP

Soft skills desired:

  • Agile mindset

  • Passion for technologies and interest to explore new IT tools 

  • Good communication and collaboration skills

  • Creative and proactive attitude towards problem solving 

  • Naturally curious individual with the ability to quickly learn new skills and become an expert in the various systems used by the team

  • Ability to multitask, with focus on speed and execution, while also being team player

Nice to have / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of insurance, financial sector, risk management 

  • Knowledge of Azure 

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL

  • Knowledge of Python

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, SSH 

  • Knowledge of Django and Django REST Framework

  • Knowledge of  Angular 8+

  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
