Job Purpose/Role:

As our Senior Auditor P&C Underwriting, you will be part of the Group Audit team, independently evaluating the internal control system to identify weaknesses and their mitigation. As a P&C specialist you will have an exciting opportunity to learn about Allianz Reinsurance and advise P&C internal auditors within the Allianz Group, enhancing knowledge and skillsets as you lead and participate in audit projects.

Solid P&C technical skills coupled with strong emotional intelligence and uncompromised integrity is fundamental to each auditor’s success. Group Audit is seeking candidates who are bold thinkers with entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to continuous learning.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in internal audits (preparation, defining risk-based audit areas, performance, and follow-up) to identify risks and control weaknesses, including the extended use of data analytics
  • Design and develop audits and audit guidance in the P&C and Reinsurance field across the Group
  • Assess process deliveries with Allianz Re/Group policies and standards and comply with relevant audit policies and standards
  • Assist in the maintenance of a dynamic audit universe, incorporating emerging risks and significant changes to the business in the annual risk assessment process
  • Keep abreast of P&C retail, commercial and reinsurance industry specific and technology general developments and reflect relevant risks / controls in the audit execution
  • Monitor and report on the disposition and status of action plans and conduct substantive tests of compliance, as necessary
  • Support management team on formulating trends and key thematic messages during year-end audit result aggregation. Support the update of audit methodology, initiate improvements of workflows, processes, control systems and promote best practice sharing
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, at all levels and control functions
  • Develop strong business acumen and bring value adding services to internal clients
  • Promote Group Audit as a competent and trusted business partner and live the Allianz values.

 

Qualifications/Key skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in P&C insurance or reinsurance in underwriting or equivalent
  • University degree / Master's degree in economics, business administration or equivalent
  • Fluent English communications skills (verbal and written) is a must
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen with empathy for the auditee’s perspective is required
  • Expertise in the performance of audits and comprehensive knowledge of digitalization and data analytics are a clear plus
  • A self-motivated, proactive and committed working style, as well as the ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures
  • Audit certifications (e.g. CIA) as an advantage, otherwise commitment to certify
  • Strong intellectual and analytical skills and solid understanding of processes, structures and regulatory environment for the Insurance industry
  • High level of commitment, resilience and initiative
  • Experience and passion to constantly adapt to new environments
