At Allianz, we understand the importance of balancing work and study, so we offer a 6-month Semester Internship program, running from May to November. As an Allianz intern, you'll work 22.5 hours per week across three days, allowing you to gain valuable real-world work experience while still being able to focus on your studies. We're committed to supporting you in this early stage of your career!

Semester Internship Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants for our Semester Internship program should be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold permanent residency.
  • Interns should be in their final year of study of a University degree in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Applicants require a strong academic record with a credit average, or above.

Data Analytics Internship

Joining Allianz as a Data Analytics Intern means being part of an exciting shift in the insurance industry, where data is taking on a crucial role. Here, you'll have the chance to develop your skills in interpreting and manipulating data, and you'll get to share valuable insights based on what you learn. You'll be placed in a key area where data is essential to our business, such as HR Reporting, Customer & Operations, Actuarial Pricing, or the Data Office. It's a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of the evolving world of data in insurance!

Actuarial Internship

Based on your skills and interests, Actuarial Interns have the opportunity to be placed in Actuarial Pricing, Personal Injury, or Finance Actuarial roles. You'll have the chance to gain valuable real-world experience by working with a team that's dedicated to developing and implementing strategies across our business. This will help you enhance your quantitative, problem-solving, statistical, and analytical skills. It's an exciting opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive environment!

Our University Co-op Partnerships

We're proud to not only offer our own Semester Internship program, but also to contribute to co-op programs that nurture and provide opportunities to the future generation of leaders. Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies at the University of New South Wales, as well as students aiming for a Bachelor of Accounting at UTS, are eligible for this co-op program when applying through their respective university. It's our way of investing in the leaders of tomorrow!

We understand that applying for a Semester Intern role can be highly competitive. To support all interested applicants in making the most of their application, we've put together some valuable tips to help you shine throughout the process.

We're here to help you put your best foot forward and make your application stand out!

  • Research Allianz to ensure our values align with yours.
  • Keep your resume concise (2-3 pages max) and in PDF format. Include your education and any extra-curricular activities.
