Cover letter

When you’ve found a role you’d like to apply for, it’s time to work on your application. You may need to provide a cover letter that outlines your skills, experience and suitability for the role you’re interested in. Remember- always customise your cover letter for each application. The best cover letters are short and to the point, but make sure you include the below points as a minimum:

  • Why do you want to work for Allianz?
  • What interests you about the position?
  • What makes you the right candidate for the position?

CV

A well-structured CV is the key to a good application. Ensure the formatting is consistent and the type size is clearly legible. Make sure you include your contact details, education or professional trainings if any, and your professional work experience. If you have any interesting skills, are bi-lingual or volunteer on a regular basis, be sure to include that information, too. Here are a couple of tips to help you prepare a great CV:

  • List your previous work in order from most-recent, and include the duration of your time in each role
  • Don’t forget to include any attachments we might need, such as transcripts of grades for Interns and Grads
  • Be sure to include the contact details of at least two professional references

Interview preparation

Take the time to familiarise yourself with the role you’ve applied for by learning the main tasks and responsibilities that could be required in the job. Be prepared to provide examples from your previous employment that you can relate to the tasks and responsibilities of the role you’re interviewing for.

It’s also a good idea to spend some time researching Allianz, who we are and what we do. This will help you during your interview.

Is there an easy way to get ready? Yes! Read on this page how the Google Assistant can help you with your interview preparation.

Interview/ Assessments

It’s not unusual to be nervous before and during an interview- remember, this is just an opportunity to get to know each other! You don’t need to be nervous. Throughout your interview, provide short, precise answers and if you need a little time to think about your answer, feel free to take a moment and gather your thoughts. Where possible, give specific examples from your own work history to support your answers.

Use your interview as an opportunity to ask questions, show your interest and learn more about the position and Allianz as an employer.
