Unfortunately late applications cannot be accepted for either the Semester Internship or Graduate programs.
To be eligible for both the Semester Internship or Graduate program, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen at the time of your application.
Allianz hires Interns and Grads based on business needs, which means the amount of positions available will vary each year.
Semester Internships start in May and run through to November. The Graduate program commences in February each year.
The Semester Internship and Graduate programs are conducted in Melbourne and Sydney. Successful applicants who live interstate are required to relocate at their own expense.
To be considered for the Semester Internship or Graduate programs, you must provide you most recent university-issued academic transcript or proof of results (for example, a screen shot of an online university portal), a cover letter outlining your suitability for the program and your CV. Please note that applications without an academic transcript of proof of results will not be considered.
You’ll receive plenty of support and training to help you succeed at Allianz! Following a formal induction program where you’ll learn about Allianz Australia and the insurance industry, you’ll receive technical and product training, take part in professional skills workshops and have access to over 10,000 digital courses via LinkedIn Learning. You’ll also receive continuous feedback and coaching from your stakeholders and managers; and if you’re in the Grad program, your mentor.

Making a difference and giving back to the community is really important to Allianz, which is why we offer all employees one paid day per year to volunteer with a charity of their choice, and the ability to donate to our selected charity partners from their pre-tax pay. We also proudly partner with Paralympics Australia on employment opportunities for para-athletes and Settlement Services International to support refugees and migrants with scholarships and employment opportunities.
In some instances, Allianz provides study assistance to complete your industry qualifications, such as Actuarial certification. Other external training or qualifications are reviewed and approved on an individual basis and should be discussed with your manager prior to your applying for your external course.
At the end of the Semester Internship program, you’ll return to your pre-employment university studies and we encourage you to apply for our Grad program when the time comes!
