Analyst Programmer

Develops high quality software code that meets the customer's requirements and aligns with Allianz Australia’s architecture, methodologies and standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work closely with other members of the team to develop software that meets the functional and non-functional requirements of business users and taking into consideration future maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by delivering excellence in products, services and behaviours while challenging business requirements that do not deliver value to the customer or make effective use of technology.
  • Conduct meetings with business users under supervision of senior analyst programmers to gather/ validate requirements for the technology solution.
  • Ensure that adequate supporting documentation is prepared for software code in line with Allianz Australia requirements and standards.
  • Proactively look to identify security and other risks in the software solution through thorough analysis and unit testing.
  • Undertake production support and maintenance activities for relevant applications and systems to ensure minimal disruption to business users.
  • Identify opportunities to continually improve development practices that results in better efficiencies and end user experiences.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in programming and application design in relevant technology in a large complex IT landscape.
  • Experience in the development and support of large scale corporate applications, compliance with structured (waterfall or agile) development processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with relevant technology and applications such as Java, BPM, Lotus Notes, KoFax etc.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Highly developed 'first principles' problem-solving skills, combined with a curious and creative mind-set.

Cyber Security Analyst

Operates with confidence by assisting with the identification, management and resolution of security non-compliances, risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, and by providing analytics and reporting that facilitates data driven decision-making, with a focus on providing cyber security enhancements and advice.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Contribute to Cyber Protection and Resilience process and artefact uplift.
  • Develop and provide Cyber Security, Protection and Resilience dashboards for internal, Management and Board reporting and contribute to Management and Board reporting.
  • Work closely with the Cyber Protection and Resilience team and IT to gain insights into performance of the operating environment.
  • Collaborate with our Global Cyber Security community, liaise effectively with Allianz Australia IT teams and Allianz Technology Security Operations to effectively manage threats and vulnerabilities within the environment.
  • Track key cyber security initiatives (Group target state, and Allianz Australia Cyber Strategy Initiatives), provide insights to the team of any impacts, areas of non-delivery, and advise on status.
  • Research and provide awareness on cyber events and incidents and provide analysis on the potential impacts of those incidents on Allianz Australia and its entities.
  • Enable a data driven approach to decision-making through identification and analysis of large data sets from multiple sources, using analytics tools and techniques.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Broad technical knowledge and understanding of cyber risk management, and risk analysis methodologies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business, commerce, IT, or security discipline. Hold, working towards, or willing to obtain, a relevant professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, CISA or equivalent.
  • Analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Outcome and customer focused with highly developed 'first principles' problem-solving skills, combined with a curious and creative mind-set.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.

Java Technical Specialist

Reviews team practices and governance controls to identify and report security vulnerabilities, undertakes quality analysis on Java applications and manage technology related reporting to regulatory bodies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the ongoing review of processes, governance and application health to identify risks and vulnerabilities, raise and escalate them appropriately, including reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Understand and advise on code/design/test quality and standards to meet standards concerning APRA/PCIDSS, IT policies, standards and key controls.
  • Support technical assessments for complex applications and integrations to ensure optimisation of resources, adherence to Allianz Australia standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical input and advice into development of business strategies, technical strategies and system architectures, contribute to the business planning of the division.
  • Support organisational strategic initiatives from a technology perspective and development of artefacts which could bring significant business benefits.
  • Mentor team members and developers.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in Java development (J2EE, Spring), Web services (SOAP, XML, REST), Web development (Angular, HTML, JavaScript, JSP ORM (Hibernate) and business rules engines.
  • Significant experience in working on structured (Iterative or Agile Scrum) SDLC processes.
  • Leadership level design skills in OO Design, UML, domain modelling etc.
  • Understand CI/CD techniques and be able to apply across a toolchain including GIT, Bamboo, Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure), containers, spring boot, and container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Experience with addressing web application security concerns including OWASP top 10.
  • Experience in delivering software projects into production environments in Insurance or Financial Services organisations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.

Business Analyst

Enables change in an organisational context, by supporting better decision making, through defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders, working independently on smaller initiatives and on larger projects with support.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify organisational challenges through consultation with business representatives.
  • Plan business analysis techniques required and assess progress of analysis activities.
  • Plan and produce quality communications that are clear, concise and easy to consume; taking into account stakeholder preferences.
  • Facilitate effective workshops, understanding stakeholders work environment and their needs versus wants.
  • Collaborate with project team members to define solutions to address stakeholder needs.
  • Perform gap analysis between solutions and the stakeholder needs.
  • Produce user stories, storymaps, process and data models.
  • Assist with risks, issues and project change management.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in an analysis role.
  • Information Technology or Business Degree.
  • General understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Proven ability to interpret information, identify patterns, trends and links that inform decisions and solutions.
  • Complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy, with the ability to quickly identify errors and inconsistencies within information.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences with clarity.

Project Manager

Delivers effective project management services for initiatives, projects and programs of work run within or across Allianz Australia’s business units and assists stakeholders to identify, develop, design, implement and monitor business improvement projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver business improvement projects in accordance with scope, time, resource and budget constraints.
  • Develop detailed project plans in line with Allianz Australia project management methodologies, track and report progress and risks to ensure that the project meets agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Deliver all governance, financial and milestone updates within agreed timelines.
  • Identify, escalate, manage and resolve project issues and risks by working with stakeholders across project teams and the wider business.
  • Support the analysis of opportunities including utilisation of tools, data analysis, process analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to influence and inform decision making across the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate coordination amongst various stakeholders across business and project teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a project management role in a complex matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation.
  • Demonstrated evidence of successfully leading and delivering projects within time, budget and resource constraints and sustaining outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Proven capability to manage change through the initiation and promotion of organisational transformation, leveraging effective process, collaboration and communication to foster commitment and participation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
