About the role

  • Providing senior, specialist knowledge and expertise to the Cyber Governance function, enabling Allianz Australia to operate with confidence that its cyber security posture is effective within the agreed risk appetite levels. Undertaking oversight and governance activities to ensure that AAL is able to identify and mitigate cyber security risks presented by agencies and third parties, in a manner that aligns with the agreed risk appetite levels.
  • Establishing information security governance and assurance to enable AAL and its agencies to make informed cyber risk decisions.
  • Delivering and maintaining an effective Cyber Governance Program to manage cyber risks within the approved risk appetite and ensure compliance with APRA regulations and Allianz Group Security Policy Standards.
  • Acting as a single point of contact for project managers, sponsors, internal and external teams, and suppliers as required, to ensure that supplier and agency-related matters are adequately addressed by the right SMEs.
  • Managing AAL cyber security risks, controls, and issues, and providing recommendations to reduce risk exposure.

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, IT, security, or other relevant discipline. Ideally, holding relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, CCSP, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a relevant assurance, risk management, or cyber security role, or substantial experience in an operational IT discipline.
  • Pays high attention to detail, completing tasks thoroughly and accurately, with the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to analyse, isolate, and interpret a range of data and business needs, identifying patterns, trends, and links that inform judgment and solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical specification writing and documentation, with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences at all levels, delivering clarity, impact, and influence.
