We are looking for a University Graduate to join our Liability Underwriting team based in Paris.

Your Team: 

Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors. 

 
The Commercial Liability Insurance team works with large to mid-sized national and international corporate clients in France, offering a wide range of general and specialist insurance products. 

As part of a highly specialized and experienced team across 10 countries, you will support the Regional Head of Liability and the regional underwriters in Paris with their Underwriting activities 

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the underwriting process, both on a national and an international level. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Support underwriting of new and renewal accounts, performing pre-underwriting activities such as sanction checks and collating claims data 

• Chase brokers for additional / outstanding underwriting information 

• Model risks using our pricing tools, 

• Attend meetings with brokers and clients alongside the underwriting team. 

• Handle document management and update systems for the team 

• Liaise with other functions including Operations, Credit Control and Claims  

• Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and other Underwriting teams 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Completion of a bachelor's university degree by September 2024 . 

• Adaptability and Flexibility- Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure.  

• Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

• Teamwork- Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities  

• Learning Mindset/ Ambition- A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development.  

• Analytical Thinking- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others.  

• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.   

• Fluent English and French language skills

• Duration:  This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months of our Graduate Programme, you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
