In this role you will:
• Work hand in hand with the group head of tax in a small tax team that has a global reach;
• Be responsible for projects on a variety of topics covering all areas of taxes for Allianz Trade including direct, international taxes, VAT, Insurance premium tax, transfer pricing and M&A;
• Be the expert for driving the group accounting- and reporting teams on tax-related topics and work hand in hand with them to improve processes and governance;
• Keep up with the new tax developments, proactively proceed to impact assessments and communication. Drive local and support teams to implement the changes required resulting from the changes to the legislation;
• Support key business initiatives through tax planning and impact assessments, including modelling the financial impact of taxes;
• Contribute to tax awareness and appreciation within the Allianz Trade group;
• Manage tax audits across the group in close collaboration with local finance teams and external advisors where applicable;
• Develop close collaboration with the Allianz Trade corporate teams in Brussels, Paris and across the globe as well as with the Allianz group tax team in Munich.

What you will need to succeed:
• A master degree in business or law and post-graduate in taxation;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Big 4 or law firm and/or in the tax department of a large multinational;
• A strong background in international tax including transfer pricing; Be comfortable with indirect tax topics and working cross-functionally to resolve issues;
• Good understanding of financial statements, from an analytical and statutory perspective;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with finance, business and legal teams across the globe;
• A track record of successfully driving projects and operating in dynamic environments;
• Ability to translate complex topics in simple words;
• Be flexible, adaptable to adjusting priorities and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve a variety of tax and finance issues;
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability, combined with a willingness to get involved at a detailed analytical, functional and process level as necessary;
• Perfect command of English and French or Dutch.
