As part of our strategic Data and Technology journey, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our data platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable, high-performance data mesh platform that empowers domain teams to deliver high-quality data products. You will work closely with enterprise architects, domain teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and continuous evolution of our self-serve data platform.
The position is based in Frankfurt.
What you will do
- Design the technical architecture and lead the development of the self-serve data platform
- Integrate appropriate technologies and tools for data virtualization, access management, and more
- Define technical standards and best practices for data product development within the self-serve data platform
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in AI, cloud technology, and data mesh architecture
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Office and Enterprise Architecture teams to adopt best practices in data governance and architecture of the data platform
What you bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture or data engineering
- Experience with cloud-based data technologies (MS Azure, Databricks)
- Strong collaboration skills, ability to explore new paths, and work in international teams
- Good understanding of DevOps
- Asset management experience is a plus
- Experience working in an agile scrum setting
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal is required
- Coding proficiency in Python and SQL
