We are currently hiring an innovative and open-minded Data Mesh Architect (f/m/d). The position is based in our Frankfurt office.

As part of our strategic Data and Technology journey, you will be instrumental in shaping AllianzGI future data platform. You will design and set up a scalable and performant data mesh platform that empowers domain teams to deliver high-quality data products. You will work closely with enterprise architects, domain teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and evolution of our self-serve data platform.

What you will do

• Design the technical architecture and lead the development of the self-serve data platform
• Integrate appropriate technologies and tools for data virtualization, access management and more
• Define technical standards and best practices for data product development within the self-serve data platform
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in AI, Cloud technology and data mesh architecture
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Office and Enterprise Architecture teams to adopt best practices in data governance and architecture of data platform

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering
• Experience with cloud-based data technologies (MS Azure, Databricks)
• Strong collaboration skills, ability to explore new paths and work in international teams
• Asset management experience is a plus
• Experience with working in an agile scrum setting
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Coding proficiency in Python and SQL
