The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for an FP&A Analyst to join our finance team at Allianz Ireland. This position reports to the FP&A Manager and includes responsibilities such as providing market insights, overseeing the planning and forecasting processes, and conducting ad hoc analyses to aid in business decision-making.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail orientated candidate with 2-3 years of experience in an FP&A team in a business, preferably in the insurance industry.
The successful candidate will work closely with all functions within Allianz Ireland and the wider Group Finance function to ensure accurate and timely financial information and insights. Additionally, the role will support the advancement of the Allianz Ireland data strategy through automation and self-serve analytics
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to provide insights on market trends, competitor performance, and industry benchmarks. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with various business functions to gather input and ensure accurate and realistic forecasts.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business initiatives and decision-making.
- Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify trends and variances.
- Liaise with all functions within Allianz Ireland to understand their financial needs and provide support as required.
- Work closely with the wider Group Finance function to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information across the organization.
- Support the advancement of the Allianz Ireland data strategy through automation and self-serve analytics.
- Promote and facilitate the use of self-serve analytics tools across the organization.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in an FP&A team in a business, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
