The role

The primary purpose of this role is to support the delivery of Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution business, governance, and regulatory obligations, ensuring alignment between policies, procedures, databases and reporting to support strategic objectives and positive risk culture and customer outcomes

.

About the role

  • Managing the regulatory database which captures all material interactions with our regulators in each jurisdiction
  • Managing regulatory and legislative changes and monitoring regulatory submissions
  • Supporting and coordinating regulatory levies including tracking across branches and ensuring payments are accurate and managed within timeframes
  • Managing the annual statutory returns process between the business and Finance including overseeing monthly data submissions
  • Managing Business Continuity Preparedness (BCP) activity
  • Monitoring and delivering business requirements as related to governance and risk and compliance
  • Providing project management support and briefing notes as required

 

About you

  • Experience within the insurance industry with an understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes
  • Experience in preparing reports, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence
  • Experience in a regulatory, legal, technical, risk, governance, or policy role (desirable)
