Role Overview
The Test Manager for the Data Pool in SimpliFi steers and monitors the planning and execution of End-to-End (E2E) integration, Functional Integration Testing (FIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance, and regression tests specific to the data pool components. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of data processes and integrations and will be held by multiple people.
Responsibilities
• Test Planning and Setup:
- Co-create, maintain, and improve test setups for data pool components.
- Apply general rules and guidelines for testing at the tribe/squad level.
• Defect Management:
- Ensure Test Execution and Defect Management, including defect life cycle management and coordination with developers.
• Milestone Tracking:
- Ensure monitoring and completion of defined Testing Milestones related to the data pool in SimpliFi.
• Collaboration:
- Conduct calls with Tribes, ensure test data collection from common core, and participate in tribe calls as required.
- Align with central core side changes or defect resolutions.
- Sign off on E2E integration test cases for execution.
• Test Execution Monitoring:
- Steer and monitor the execution of E2E integration, FIT, UAT, and regression tests for data pool components.
• Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all prerequisites for E2E, FIT, UAT are followed accurately.
- Ensure tests are documented in Zephyr comprehensively.
- Provide regular tribe-level reporting on testing progress and Defects Status.
Skills and Qualifications
• System and Process Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of data testing methodologies, including ETL, data migration, and data integration testing.
- Proficiency in test management tools and frameworks, such as JIRA, Selenium, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the financial technology sector is a plus.
• Quality Assurance Expertise:
- Experience in coordinating and steering quality assurance aspects in data-focused implementation projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing methodologies.
• Data Acumen:
- Business understanding of the organization’s data processes, goals, and alignment with business needs.
• Comprehensive Testing Skills:
- Ability to create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test schedules, and outline testing scope, objectives, resources, and timelines.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Strong collaboration skills, stakeholder management, and effective team communication.
• Knowledge of Testing Tools:
- Hands-on experience with testing tools, test management, and data-related business processes.
• Ownership and Mentorship:
- Display ownership of their role, results, and delivered quality.
- Willingness to provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their testing and data automation skills.

Relationships to Others
• Reporting:
- Reports to the QA Lead.
• Supervision:
- Test Managers supervise the test team (e.g., Test Engineer or Test Analyst) of a specific tribe.
• Tribe Collaboration:
- Takes responsibility over tribe testing topics.
- Ensures test data is received and verified with Product Owners.
This role is fundamental in driving quality and efficiency within the data pool components of the SimpliFi project, ensuring seamless integration and robust performance of data processes across the system.
