We are looking for a Broker New Business Development Underwriter to join our Dublin-based Commercial team.

Reporting to the Head of Distribution - Ireland, you will be responsible for generating new busness to achieve your annual new business target through the designated Specialist and General Broker channels. 

What you will do:

Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers through a structured visits and communication plan which is measured by closure rate and success
Underwrite and propose sustainable and competitive terms within your underwriting authority
Collaborate with internal partners to engage and maximise the EH offer
Ensure all new business is recorded and issued in line with company standards
Proactively generate opportunities within your Broker portfolio
Balance commercial interests within a competitive market

What you will bring:

Commercial skills including ability to produce sustainable competitive terms
Ability to negotiate and influence others both internally and externally
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) including the ability to present
Ability to be innovative and find solutions for unusual challenges
Be able to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments where necessary

Experience of face to face business sales
