Direct and control the provision of effective legal services to the company and to provide legal advice to all departments in order to support and achieve the Company business such as sales performance and customer satisfaction.
This position’s responsibilities also include assisting on the defense of the organization in lawsuits and the prosecution of lawsuits on behalf of the organization against others and providing legal expertise to other company where needed.
Your Day at Allianz Ayudhya
1) General Legal Services and Consulting
- Coordinate and support legal activities and functions to ensure the OE’s legal procedure is developed and maintained according to the Company’s direction and the Group’s guideline.
- Provide proper legal advice, guidance and consultation to all departments, to ensure that decisions taken are legally correct while the Company’s interests are protected, including commercial contract, etc.
- Assist on strategy planning to identify the Company’s representative to defense the Company at court and government body to ensure that the Company’s interests are effectively safeguarded and it carries out legal obligations effectively
- Assist on monitoring the progress of legal transactions to ensure that the correct actions are taken at the appropriate time
- Prepare and initially review the draft legislation and keep record as required by the Company and Divisions e.g. Power of Attorney
- Review and revise the legal documents that involve the Company and the Third Party and ensure that the Company’s interests are protected.
- Review and advise on any documents that will be launched to public by any department and ensure the compliance with Laws and Regulations e.g. marketing materials, brochures, leaflet, banners, posters, manuals or announcement including any message or content that is communicated via the Company’s Website
- Support and provide legal advice by analyzing issues and problems and suggesting on appropriate solutions to certain divisions or departments for example Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology and Marketing Departments
- Assist the Head of Legal on the work with relevant departments to improve the cross-function activities
- Assist an undertaking legal research as required
2) Support to Legal Teams
- Provide assistance to the Head of Legal on advising and guiding for all legal aspects to ensure that decision is taken correctly while the Company’s interests are protected
- Support team leader on reviewing legal agreements, for example an appointment of new business partner, Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding for Telemarketing or Bancassurance
- Coordinate and support by ensuring the collaboration and feedback form the relevant parties to solve the issues
- Assist on reviewing the content of policy for new launch of ’s products as assigned by Head of Legal
3) Monitoring and Development of Laws, Regulations and Allianz Group Practices
- Monitor the changes of Laws, Regulations and Allianz Group Practices that may have effect on the Company’s business operations such as Insurance Law, Public Act, Labour Law, Consumer Protection Law or Rules and Regulations of Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) while follow up on new or updated practice suggested by Allianz Group
- Support team leader to raise and maintain an awareness of developments in the legal field relevant to the Company including researching, reviewing and preparing report on the implications of any new Laws, Rules and Regulations or Practices
- Coordinate and discuss with the regulators on the legal changed matters if needed
- Coordinate with relevant parties for the adjustment of actions and documents, required for alignment with the changes of laws and regulations
- Assist on monitoring and following up an execution of adjustments and report status, results or problems from the execution to the Management or related departments
4) Support Relationship with Regulators and Governmental and Legislative Bodies and External Legal Service Provider
- Coordinate and provide support on the Company’s legal input contribution to Regulators and Governmental and Legislative Bodies when required
- Provide information of the Company’s direction and draft briefing material for the external legal service provider i.e. Law firms if necessary
Must Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Law in insurance or banking business
- Lawyer’s License
- Knowledge of Case Management System software
- Knowledge of Law and Insurance Law
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other document management software such as Adobe Acrobat
- Business Intelligence and data analysis software like PowerBI, Tableau or similar tools
- Understanding of advanced technologies like Big Data, Robotics, cyber and digital capabilities
- Legal consultation and Communication and presentation skill
- Project management and coordination skill
- Good command of English communication
