In this new role, we are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Analyst in Client Reporting AP to join our team. 

You will be responsible for overseeing report production across various client channels within the Asia Pacific region, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of reports. In this role, you will work closely with clients and stakeholders to provide high-quality services. Alongside your day-to-day tasks, you will also participate actively in regional and global projects. The corporate title will be Assistant Vice President or with more relevant work experience, Vice President.                     

This position will be based in Hong Kong.

 

What you will do

 

  • Responsible for producing and reviewing scheduled and ad-hoc client reports in a timely and accurate manner (institutional client reports, client presentations, fund factsheets, bespoke and standard reports)
  • Manage the onboarding of reporting requirements for new clients and respond to ad hoc requests and queries accurately and promptly
  • Co-ordinate information requests for clients
  • Collaborate with investment, operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams to execute client activity
  • Communicate with clients, client account managers, and vendors as appropriate
  • Provide reporting and servicing support to client accounts
  • Actively participate in various global projects, supporting the region
  • Write and maintain process and procedure documentation related to the services provided
  • Manage change requests and escalations to ensure ongoing quality and accuracy of reporting
  • Review and improve existing processes, create additional scale, and implement automation where possible

 

What you bring

 

  • University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with a focus on investments
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in asset management companies or service providers in the financial services industry
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience. Strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to analyze complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and propose solutions
  • Asset Management Knowledge: Solid understanding of the asset management industry, including front-to-back office processes
  • Good understanding of portfolio analysis, performance calculation methodologies (GIPS standards), risk analytics, and attribution is an advantage
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), proficiency in VBA and SQL is a must. Experience with vendor systems such as Simcorp One (Coric) and Bloomberg is preferable
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is an advantage
  • Witten and spoken fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus                                             
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and respond to a changing environment
  • Being collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
