Health and Well-being

We are committed to creating a work environment that prioritises your health and well-being.

At Allianz Ireland, we provide a holistic Wellbeing Programme for our employees, one that covers all life stages and is to the benefit of all employees and their work. We have a monthly calendar of events which incorporate the main pillars of wellbeing including Physical, Mental, Social & Emotional and Financial.

Fundamentally we are aiming to ensure that our people are safe, healthy, engaged at work.  We are moving to an evidence-based framework that maps the stages that culminate in a robust workplace wellbeing programme.

Well-being Talks and Webinars

How to energize during the day? What actions can you take to build self-awareness? Talk with health professionals about mental and physical wellbeing, or join our Global Health Community to answer these and many other questions.

Experience our Global Mindfulness Movement

We believe that empathy and compassion are vital skills – helping our employees build trustful, lasting relationships with co-workers and customers. Because we know that creating a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters an empathetic and compassionate corporate culture where employees work and treat each other as humans. Therefore, we have kicked off the Global Mindfulness Movement to learn and promote these competencies.

Watch our colleague Cécile's story and how she uses mindfulness in this fantastic video taken at her home in the South of France.

Your physical well-being and health

Physical well-being does not only mean being physically healthy. It also relates to our energy levels at work. At Allianz, we take action to support the healthy lifestyle of our employees in the office and during remote working.

Our Health & Well-being Events

Headspace – Family and Friends

This year we celebrated our one year partnership with Headspace by extending our membership in addition to all of our employees to five Family Members.

Menopause Friendly Employer

It is Allianz Ireland’s ambition to be certified as a Menopause Friendly Employer through our core pillars of Education, Empathy and Empowerment.

This year in conjunction with the Menopause Hub we trained and introduced five Menopause Champions from around the business.

We launched our Menopause Guidance Policy and Menopause in the Workplace Resources for Managers and Employees which we launched at our Menopause Celebration Coffee Morning.  We hope that the introduction of these inclusive, compassionate and sympathetic supports will ensure all colleagues feel supported to forge forward in their careers.

We strongly encourage our people leaders to join us in demonstrating our commitment to destigmatising the Menopause and finding out more how they can support their teams.

Parents & Guardians Programme

With one third of our workforce being parents/guardians 2023 has seen us embark upon a Positive Parenting Programme.

Aoife Lee from Parent Support continues to join us in bringing to life our 2023 Positive Parenting Series.

This series encompasses 5 online interactive webinars spanning different stages of children development stages.

Also, as part of our Family Friendly and Parenting Programme, we've made a number of positive enhancements to our policies which impact our Parents & Guardians.

Our People & Culture policies and procedures play an important role in supporting our culture of trust, fairness and inclusion for all employees.

Our Achievements

We are honored to be recognised as a 'Great Place to Work,' a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, where our people are free to be themselves and are treated fairly.

Our Volunteering Programmes

Volunteering is at the heart of Allianz plc. We firmly believe in the ethos and value of volunteering and believe that our employee volunteers make a vital contribution to society as a whole. We regard employee volunteers as a valuable resource and encourage them to get involved at all levels and within all appropriate activities.

We have a dedicated Volunteering Policy and Volunteer Leave.  We offer one day’s volunteer leave for each employee to encourage them to contribute to and support our chosen charity partner Women’s Aid, one of our chosen charities or a charity of their choosing and close to their hearts.

In 2023 our Volunteer Committee put together a calendar of events to make it easy for employees to avail of the leave.

Let's take a delightful glimpse at the volunteer activities that we enjoyed this year.
