The department Workplace Service develops, delivers, and maintains reliable workplace solutions for the Allianz Group, which includes virtual desktop solutions, mailing solutions, Office 365 services, desktop file service and mobile device management.

You will
- Oversee the operational stability and service quality of the WPS provided solutions with focus on prevention, proactive Monitoring and Automation.
- Provide operational support for multiple large, distributed software applications, steer incident calls and participate in on-call duty rotation
- Debug problems in complex interdependent production systems as part of our Site Reliability Engineering Team and derive action for prevention of infrastructure & application outages, coordinating the engagement of other engineering teams as needed
- Proactively review performance and use across WPS services and get involvement into incident, problem and crisis management to support with first response and help with the RCA
- Improve existing Monitoring solutions and deployment of a scalable, automated and well-documented end-to-end monitoring solution, logging and reporting for our services
- Cooperation with and guidance of Allianz Technology strategic partners and vendors in the areas of global networks, data centers and security, escalation engineering and contact management towards the partners, customers and other Allianz Technology units
- Collaborate with WPS product teams to automate processes, and implement event-based self-healing solutions for various service disruptions (e.g. automated capacity management)
- Review documentation of all deliverables, solutions, systems, infrastructure, processes and procedures as well as development and composition of new concepts, architectures and solutions
Your skills
- 3 years+ experience in similar role and success in technical engineering
- Ability to program with one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript
- Experience with one or more technologies such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Nextthink, MS Windows Server 2019, Citrix CVAD, Active Directory/Azure AD
- Bachelor´s / Master´s degree in computer science or other technical, scientific discipline
- Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3 as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
- Fluent in German & English speech and writing
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- Experience with cloud based product environments and hybrid infrastructure
- Strong analytical skills and an investigative mindset
