We are looking for a Senior Agile Coach, to be based in Munich.  

  

Your Team  

 

We are a small team of Agile Coaches operating and supporting our global delivery teams and business on key topics around the agile IT Transformation. Our team is committed to Agile values and ways of working, and we prioritize leadership and innovation to prepare for future challenges. As a team, we coach and mentor each other to identify organizational impediments and enable the organization to rapidly respond to upcoming challenges with innovative solutions. We maintain a working knowledge of current Agile best practices and frameworks to guide our Agile coaching cohort and implement improvement processes across the enterprise. 

 

The Impact You Will Have  

 

You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and demonstrating, for all staff from team level to executives, our Agile values such as servant leadership, an Agile mindset, and Agile ways of working.   
You will develop and maintain relationships with delivery stakeholders at all levels so that you are looped in to provide guidance when new programs and initiatives are being considered. You will also actively coach and mentor diverse groups to define and implement improvement processes across the agile delivery teams and enterprise. You enable staff and teams to grow the organization's ability to rapidly respond to upcoming challenges and provide the environment for teams to find innovative solutions and embrace ideas that help grow our business. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Developing existing processes and practices to become more agile and ensuring buy-in and adoption from executive leaders 

  • Training, mentoring, and coaching individuals, agile teams and executive leaders and creating a culture of collaboration and learning using Agile values and focusing their attention on customer outcomes 

  • Understanding how compliance requirements for our industry impact our day-to-day operating methods for agile teams and supporting teams who need help to improve 

  • Facilitating communities of practice and contributing relevant expertise 

  • Acting as an example of Servant Leadership by coaching and mentoring other executives to support their teams while giving the teams decision-making authority 

  • Providing an environment to enable the Agile teams and coaching community to innovate, to grow our business 

  • Providing hands-on assistance to agile teams with collating business metrics, KPI reporting and our jira best-practices 

  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of the Allianz common scaling frameworks, and guiding others to configure them to organizational needs 

  • Evangelizing the coaching profession and encouraging the inclusion of Agile Coaches when their expertise is warranted 

  • Working in an agile environment and demonstrating a growth mindset through personal and professional development 

  • Achieving a high business impact and customer satisfaction through leading empowered teams. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 
  With a solid working experience in an agile delivery and enterprise set-up, ideally in a global financial services company, you interact with stakeholders from the agile delivery teams up to our Business Owner:   

  • You have Agile certification (eg. from IC Agile, Scrum.org, ScrumAlliance.org or SAFe certification) 

  • At least five years’ experience in Scrum Master / Agile Coach / Agile Delivery role for a team that diligently applied Agile/ Scrum principles, practices, and theory  

  • Experience of agile delivery within a compliance driven environment 

  • Hands-on experience using jira and confluence to support high quality audit trails and documentation 

  • Extensive experience scaling in Lean Agile Practices and leading virtual teams 

  • Demonstrable solid experience as a servant leader for a large cross-functional team 

  • Skilled in resolving complex issues, constructive feedback & conflict resolution 

  • Proactive and able to drive topics forward with excellent communication and presentation skills  

  • Positive attitude paired with a strong sense of curiosity and a customer-centric attitude 

  • Strong leadership, innovative thinking and change management skills 

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with fluent German a plus. Additional languages beneficial.
