We are looking for an Expert Underwriter Offshore Wind (m/f/d), based in Munich, Cologne or Hamburg. 

Your Team  

Our seasoned team takes ownership of top key accounts and clients, skillfully navigating through complex negotiations to ensure optimal participation, pricing, and terms and conditions. You will work in a team of highly experienced and motivated Underwriters with a great team spirit. The team is always open to support and learn from each other.  

The Impact You Will Have

You will underwrite the largest and most complex business for key clients regionally, and be a member of the global offshore wind expert team. You will take ownership of top critical key accounts and clients, leading complex negotiations on participation, pricing, and terms and conditions. Additionally, you will serve as a regional thought leader for Offshore Wind and act as an expert referral point for other underwriters. You will focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with critical brokers and clients in Europe. Furthermore, you will provide specialized technical expertise and leadership across the entire Line of Business. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Provide significant input to existing or new strategies, leveraging expertise in Offshore Wind. 
• Serve as a regional subject matter expert for Offshore Wind, contributing to strategic decisions. 
• Possess specialized technical knowledge in Offshore Wind, enabling unique approaches. 
• Underwrite large, complex new and renewal accounts in the Offshore Wind segment to achieve top and bottom-line targets. 
• Negotiate complex pricing and terms with brokers, actively managing capacity. 
• Ensure underwriting aligns with Line of Business governance framework, proposing optimal portfolio structures. 
• Drive acquisition and retention of business, representing Allianz Commercial externally and fostering strong relationships with clients and brokers. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Extensive experience underwriting profitable business in Engineering (LoB) and in-depth knowledge of the offshore wind market  
• Established relationships with brokers at peer group level; recognized as an expert in the market 
• In-depth expertise in LoB products and portfolio with over 10 years' proven track record 
• Expert understanding of regional and local LoB insurance markets, including global elements 
• Knowledgeable about legal and regulatory frameworks 
• Proficient in working within complex, global matrix organizations 
• Skilled in risk assessment, pricing analysis, and contract drafting for robust policy management
