The global communications team at Allianz Services is responsible for the overall internal and external communications to our key audiences, and especially our people. Our aim is to enable engagement across all of our locations and lines of business, support transparent multiway communications irrespective of hierarchies and help all stakeholders to know and understand our company.
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for driving global communications- and engagement projects, creating and implementing communications approaches that further the Allianz Services’ strategic ambitions, proactive internal & external communications (social media) on our business as well as on people-related organizational change and on customer-related topics. 
As Senior Communications Manager you will be playing a critical role in the development and execution of Allianz Services communications programs and events both locally and globally, in close alignment with the global communications team. The Senior Communications Manager reports to the to the Head of Global Communications for Allianz Services.

 

What you do:

  • Enhance and protect the reputation of AZ Services & AZ Group, ensure consistency in terms of core issues and messages. Actively manage reputational risks and communications crisis scenarios together with Head of Global Communications.
  • Lead the Employer Branding and Customer Communications squads and deputize Head of Global Communications across all squads as needed 
  • Contribute to the development of communications strategy & plan for Allianz Services as aligned with corporate strategy together with Head of Global Communications 
  • Steer and manage strategic projects and initiatives for AZ Services communications, including budget responsibility
  • Steer communication, events, and campaigns across various communications areas including but not limited to, external employer branding, C-level personal branding, social media, internal CEO communications, intranet, global townhalls, videos, leadership summits, and customer communications, in close collaboration with the global communications team to drive key initiatives, as well as events and campaigns
  • Develop and execute Allianz Services communications programs both locally and globally together with the communications team to generate communications measures that affirm and support the AZ Services business strategy 
  • Seamless collaboration and alignment of key messaging with departments across Allianz Services and Allianz

 

Further responsibilities:

  • Translate AZ Services business strategy into convincing stories for internal and social media in fast-changing environment
  • Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them
  • Collaborate closely with the CSAM function to develop and disseminate materials that increase our visibility among other entities
  • Take responsibility and contribute to AZ Group initiatives globally for AZ Services, e.g. leadership visibility
  • Work closely with leaders and executives to develop and strengthen employee engagement activities and develops networks within business lines and locations to stay updated on current topics.
  • Support organizational change management with communications activities
  • Copy editing and proof reading of communications materials for internal and external communications
  • Continuously simplify processes 
  • Develop new formats for communications that are intuitive and easy to understand 

 

What you bring: 

  • University degree in communications, journalism or psychology or equivalent
  • Native proficiency in the English language, other languages spoken at AZ Services would be a plus
  • At least 5 years journalistic or corporate communications experience, ideally gathered in various, international assignments; experience in planning and implementing communications campaigns and events could be an alternative skill
  • Strong writing and editing skills 
  • Social media proficiency and visual communication capabilities (infographics, video clips etc.)
  • Understanding of shared services, insurance, consulting and asset management business 
  • Strong team player with focus on outcomes/flawless execution 
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills 
  • Pragmatic, easy to get along with, responsible 
  • Comfortable in fluid, highly visible environment with shifting priorities with a positive attitude towards changing dynamics
  • Experience and familiarity with MS Office and social media tools.
