We are currently searching for a Fund Accounting Specialist. This position is responsible for the daily NAV calculation and the preparation of reports for regulatory and mandate clients in the Fund Accounting department of AllianzGI Taiwan.

The role is based in Taipei, Taiwan.
 
What you will do 
 
As part of the Back Office Team

• Prepare daily mutual fund journal entries and reports
• Prepare and deliver the daily NAV report, as well as weekly and monthly reports
• Maintain the Jepun system for mutual fund accounting
• Communicate with internal and external clients 
• Review and raise potential concerns on risk areas
• Evaluate and develop ideas or proposals for implementing STP and automation
• Prepare pricing for fund holdings (equity/bond/FX/futures/options/FoF)
• Initiatives study, impact analysis, communication with key stakeholders and sponsors, documentation and presentation
• Represent the team in projects related to Operations for implementing changes
• Understand the features, scope, and regulatory requirements of new security markets, instruments, products, or solutions that differ from existing processes and involve greater complexity
• Coordinate and finalize adjustments to the operating model, and drive the implementation plan and timeline within Operations
• Support regional/global projects and tasks
• Schedule periodic service review meetings to monitor the performance of the service provider and conduct analyses for management reporting
• Coordinate the prioritization of system enhancements
• Initiate regulatory changes, participate in discussions, and follow up on changes that could streamline operational processes or benefit from lifting restrictions

As part of the Middle Office Team

• Handle settlement of global/local securities and other financial products trades for our fund/mandate investments (incl. Stock, Bond, FX, Future, RP, FOF…etc.) 
• Monitor and handle global corporate actions
• Reconcile daily open trades/ cash position reports from sub-custodian banks
• Reconcile holding reports between custodian banks and AGI Taiwan
• Process overseas account openings
• Manage and coordinate project implementation while addressing and resolving issues

 
What you bring 

Required

• License: Senior securities license, SITE & SICE License
• Bachelor’s degree in business
• Familiar with MS Office 
• Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin, with strong English reading and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and creative mindset; a team player who is detail-oriented and has a responsible work attitude
• Problem solving skills
• Self-motivated, open-minded, with strong learning agility
• Able to work under pressure and maintain a proactive approach

Preferred

• With fund accounting experience or settlement related experience
• Experience in the financial field, such as with global custodian banks or foreign brokerage houses
• Familiar with NAV valuation for multi-currency funds, multi-share funds, domestic and global equity funds, and global bond funds
• Knowledgeable about financial instruments and market practices, with an understanding of financial products such as bonds, equities, futures, FX, repos, and corporate action events
• Project management experience and skills 
• Good VBA skills
