You'll be responsible for

  • Management and strategic oversight for a complex portfolio of claims arising from Professional Indemnity, Employment Practices Liability, Directors & Officers and/or Public and Products Liability products with a focus on personal injury.
  • Providing superior customer service and communication with internal and external customers to build a network of professional relationships.
  • Managing and influencing stakeholders to promote alignment of claim strategies, develop and maintain strong working relationships and report on claim trends including significant losses.
  • Using your technical experience and knowledge to ensure that claims are managed in a timely and cost-effective manner and appropriate strategies and solutions are implemented and pursued.
  • Engaging with customers, intermediaries, and third-party representatives to influence the progress and negotiate settlement of a claim.
  • Engaging with service providers including solicitors, loss adjusters and investigators, managing compliance, critically analysing advice, and steering claims towards finalisation.

 

About you

  • Experience managing personal injury claims in the financial sector and/or public and products liability – preferred.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance – highly desirable.
  • Experience background in workers’ compensation would be considered.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Willingness to be a team player and participate in a collaborative and supportive culture.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with proactive mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy, and compassion.
