We are looking for a Graduate Trainee (Financial Lines) to join our Allianz Commercial Graduate Program, based in Singapore.

Our Team:

To become a Financial Lines underwriter, there is the technical aspect of risk analysis, terms, and pricing setting, it is also about building and management market relationships with brokers, cedants and clients. Analytical mindset and interpersonal skills are equally important. 

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts including risk analysis, proactively prepare relevant underwriting information including client/market research and claims data.
• Assist in pricing of risks, setting terms and conditions where appropriate.
• Marketing and negotiating with brokers to close deals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with key broking partners, clients as well as internal stakeholders.
• Compliance with internal underwriting and governance processes, documentation, and administration requirements.

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills

• Expected to graduate with a university degree by June 2024 in a related field (Accountancy, Business, Economics, Finance etc.).
• Fluency in English is mandatory and fluency in other Asian languages is advantageous.
• Knowledge or prior experience in an insurance related company is advantageous.
• Strong desire to learn the ropes in preparation for a career in the insurance industry.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including demonstrated tenacity at data mining to discover root causes of results is advantageous.
• Team player with strong service quality mind-set, adaptable, analytical, independent, meticulous, proactive, reliable, resilient, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Further Information:

• Duration: This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months on our Graduate Programme you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
• Expected Start Date: 01 July 2024
