Summary of the Job:

  • Responsible for handling the reporting & closing activities, project work in area of responsibility, with at least 5 years of experience.

 

Key responsibilities of the job:

  • Document application of policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements.
  • Draft standards to improve quality as well as active contribution in improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes, and workflows as well as the implementation of global policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that IFRS 17 and Statutory closing and reporting tasks to regulatory authorities (ex FSS, KNIA, Bok, KDIC etc.) (Other internal/external reporting requirements) related to own area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basis.
  • Complete assigned postings, Journal Entries and Account reconciliations on a periodic basis. Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions within the affiliated company group.
  • Coordination, transfer, and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems.
  • Take care of monthly legal entity close submission activities, including posting of accruals, deferred acquisition expenses and other accounting transactions.
  • Manage relationship with 3rd parties (auditors, biz units, tax authorities, public authorities, etc.)
  • Global P&L analysis and reviews - Assist internal clients (e.g., other departments) with reports, research, and other activities and identify items or discussion or resolution.

 

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion.
  • Understanding insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including drivers.
  • Legal and Regulatory Framework: Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS / IFRS, KICS, Regulatory, Tax and other relevant requirements (such as Allianz Accounting policies) wrt reporting, compliance, and declaration.
  • Ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows.
  • Professional experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management.
  • Proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP & IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance.
  • Project and teamwork in an international and dynamic environment.

 

General skills:

  • Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g. ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and provide insight in various situations.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract / ambiguous and follow through on their remediation.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing)
  • Project management: Ability to manage projects (milestone and task planning, managing resources, controlling, monitoring, reporting, moderating) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures.
