The Allianz Trade Compliance Risk & Control Manager reports to the Allianz Trade Group Chief Compliance Officer and leads the Compliance Risk Assessment, Controls and Processes; Compliance Reviews; Issue and Cases monitoring and reporting; Compliance Assurance of Risks and Effectiveness (CARE); Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM); compliance control catalogue; and investigations across the Allianz Trade Group.
 

Key Responsibilities - what you do

 

  • Compliance reporting: provide timely reports for the above areas for senior management meetings, quarterly compliance updates, and group reporting;
  • Manage, oversee and maintain the methodology for the compliance risk management of core compliance areas;
  • Define the annual compliance control plan for core areas: execution of controls, coordination and monitoring;
  • Lead the annual Compliance Assurance of Risks and Effectiveness (CARE) and Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) processes;
  • Monitor compliance control plans for Solvency 2 compliance areas: review of control plans and monitoring; 
  • Monitor results/reporting for core areas from reviews, audits, regulatory inspections, issues and fraud cases;
  • Compliance issue management and oversight for Group, Regions and OEs;
  • Monitoring of adherence to Allianz Trade Compliance Policies;

 

All deliverables will be in English.

 

Key Requirements - What you bring

 

  •  Compliance professional with a minimum of 5 years financial services industry compliance experience;
  • Ability to work well independently producing coherent decisions / results and lead virtual teams;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, and ability to function as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize; 
  • Fluency in English (oral and written);
  • Very good understanding of the insurance business, complex financial transactions and ideally of Allianz Trade/credit insurance;
  • A strong appreciation of the risks and controls applicable; 
  • Client service mentality, quality-focused and results-oriented;
  • Rigor and methodology as well as a pragmatic approach for applying concepts; 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage direct reports remotely; 
  • Masters degree (MBA, law or other relevant academic foundation) in business administration, economics or legal. 
  • Completion of mandatory training for professional development; 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management, and in an international environment; 
  • Diplomatic sensitivity and ability to manage multiple stakeholders; 
  • Project management skills and ability to coordinate a number of projects in parallel; 
  • High level of integrity; 
  • Experience in managing change and promoting innovation with a hands-on mentality.
