What you do

Working within the Global Strategic Partnerships division (Travel & Leisure) we have the main responsibility to partner with global Travel players (airlines, OTAs, trainlines, cruises, ticket event players…) and  other new and existing stakeholders in the ticketing & lodging eco-system, together with a cross departmental team, to attract and develop profitable and successful travel business.
Reporting to the Director of International Travel, you will be responsible for developing new business by proactively hunting new global prospects - primarily from the travel and leisure industry - with a strong focus on Ticketing and Lodging, on a multi-country and potentially multi-product level. Your main responsibilities will be to:
 

  • Develop and implement an active pipeline of opportunities and hunting list  
  • Identify, attract, negotiate and close new opportunities with new partners 
  • ­Lead multi-markets tender requests and international projects (coordinate deal teams)
  • ­Build a comprehensive network within the travel, ticketing and lodging space
  • Help shape the detailed strategy (key players, industry pain points and expectations, leveraging our products and services, relevant business models, ...) with corresponding prospection plan with targets and timelines.
  • Build an understanding of key customer needs and requirements and input client strategy to support development of new business solutions suiting the market trends and partners’ business needs

 

What you bring 

  • 10 years experience in business development. Proven experience in the ticketing or lodging industry is a strong advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of how to read a P&L, ability to understand the basics of Underwriting, & comfortable with figures
  • Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal skills: ability to develop strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders / networks 
  • Strong project management skills; ability to lead complex projects, with competing priorities, & anticipate requirements and possible obstacles
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty  
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a deal team in an international environment, with a "yes we can" mindset
  • Pugnacious and able to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent English (written and spoken), other languages (especially German and / or French) would be a plus
