We are hiring a Private Debt Intern for a 6-month position, starting on January 15. This position is based in Paris, France. Within our private debt platform, you will predominantly focus on LBO operations, financing the acquisition of European mid-cap companies by top-tier private equity funds.

 

Private debt team in key figures:

 

-      10 investment professionals managing ~€3bn AuM, with a strong focus on LBOs with top-tier private equity

-      After successful deployment of EPC, I and EPC II, we are deploying our 3rd vintage of fund “EPC III – invest for positive change”, which is our second Article 8 fund under European SFDR regulation.

-      Examples of companies financed include European Digital Group, Diam (LBOs) or Intermarché, Compagnie des Alpes (Corporate activity)

 

AllianzGI has built a world class Private Debt platform managing approximately €36bn (as of 31/12/2023) for both third party investors and its parent company, Allianz. The platform offers professional investors a broad range of strategies including infrastructure debt (covering Europe, US and LatAM), private placement debt (investment grade and non-investment grade) in Europe and the US, mid-market private credit across all regions and trade finance.

 

What you will do

 

We offer high exposure and hands-on activity. You will be integrated into the activity of the Private Debt team in Paris and will participate in the following missions:

 

  • Investment opportunities analysis: meetings with management, financial statements analysis, market studies realization, due diligence analysis, LBO and Corporate transaction modelling, scenario analysis
  • Elaborate Investment Memorandums for the Investment Committee
  • Existing investments monitoring (financial analysis, meetings with management) and preparation of investment reports
  • Participation to marketing and reporting documents

 

What you bring

 

  • Pursuing or holding a master’s degree from a business or engineering school or university with a specialization in finance
  • Good expertise of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, credit analysis, and financial modelling
  • A previous experience in corporate finance (private equity, investment banking, structured finance, transaction services) is appreciated
  • Analytical, synthesis and clear oral/written communication
  • Curiosity, rigor, team player and adaptability
  • Fluent in French and English and ability to work in an international setup
