What you do:

Supports timely and accurate deliverables of the team/division. Maintains, prepares or coordinates complex reports, projects and/or analysis in accordance with IFRS/Statutory principles as well as documented internal controls. Takes the lead on key projects and act as mentor to others on the team. Excellent communication and organizational skills are key as this position interacts with several departments within the company as well as associates outside of Allianz.


Financial Accounting and Reporting:

  • Assist the implementation of the new IFRS 17 accounting standard.
  • Develop and maintain policy administration feeds into SAP to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
  • Oversees the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of accounting records in accordance with company accounting policies and related accounting principles and practices.
  • Prepares complex standard, periodic reports and analysis. Continuously seeks improvements.
  • Works closely with other areas to understand financial results or operational trends.
  • Acts as the lead or has significant role on key projects. Identifies problems and issues developing creative solutions.
  • Manages multiple tasks related to the project, establishes clear roles and responsibilities and keeps to a deadline; communicates effectively.
  • Solid understanding of the importance of internal controls including overall process documentation and testing.
  • Recommends improvements to controls or need for future controls; good understanding of interrelationship of controls with other areas.
  • Serves as role model to others. Demonstrates resilience and composure under stress; works to motivate the team.
  • Strong understanding of mission and vision of team, division and company.
  • Recognized as a "go-to" resource for team. Assists with increasingly complex issues or projects.
  • Drive efficiencies, process improvements, and automation across lines of business


What you bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience required; 4+ years’ experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Solid understanding of IFRS/Statutory accounting guidance as well as internal controls - Solid understanding of general ledger/financial reporting
  • Solid understanding of company products and structure
  • Strong understanding of industry
  • In-depth understanding of all company computer systems, Clarity/Essbase, SQL, and SAP preferred
