What you do:

The Corporate Strategy Director is a senior member of the Corporate Strategy Team. Working with a high degree of independence and discretion, this role is responsible for helping the development, alignment, and implementation of our short and long-term strategy as well as continuous refresh activities through recurring monitoring of the marketplace. This is a critical role in the enterprise Strategy and Planning Dialogues and will collaborate closely with the executive and senior leadership teams to develop and represent Allianz Life's (AZL) short and long-term growth strategy with AZL's Board, Group, and other global stakeholders.

Key to the success of this role, you will partner with business-line leadership across the organization, bringing together insights from the market, the field, industry trends and business growth priorities to form a comprehensive and holistic strategy for the organization. Communicating effectively across multiple audiences and forums the Corporate Strategy Director will promote AZL's strategic direction and influence operational planning to achieve target outcomes.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead in the development of strategic plans in alignment with Finance and the Strategic Program Management team. Synthesize and distill complex information from multiple sources into concise insights and clear recommendations for implementable actions
• Lead all facets of strategy projects ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures including: financial forecasting, headcount planning, audit & control, and centralized policy/reporting
• Create and drive communications to broad audiences on behalf of Strategy Leadership. Leverage written, visual and verbal mediums appropriately tailored to the audience to achieve understanding and maximize impact
• Support building a Long-term Strategy model, developing and executing key strategies, and adding capabilities in support of the future needs of the organization
• Create and manage business cases, measurement models to evaluate individual and across portfolio efforts (ex. pilots and proof of concepts)

What you bring:

• 8+ years’ experience required
• Experience in strategy development and project management, triaging and prioritizing actions based on business need and impact.
• Experience in financial services or related industry and/or financial analytics capabilities
• Demonstrated success building relationships cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive-level leadership
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience
