The Product Configuration team within the Actuarial department is responsible for the successful implementation of complex calculations in our policy administration system. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work directly with the business and IT teams to create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for the ALIP (Accenture Life Insurance & Annuity Platform) system related to the configuration of insurance/annuity products. You will report to the Solution Architect.

 

What you do:

  • Collaborates with developers to create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for business systems and/or models essential to the successful completion of operational responsibilities and requiring integration of product design, administrative systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Consults with developers and testers to design and document testing strategies on new and existing product to mitigate future risk and triage defects.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of complex insurance and annuity product features and requirements. Develop product expertise for all lines of business.
  • Assists with training and development of individuals. Peer reviewer of other’s work.
  • Participates in key initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Documentation of processes, analysis performed and business systems built or modified.

 

What you bring:

  • Four year degree required: Four year degree in technical discipline, engineering, business, Actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate ability demonstrated in: Knowledge of annuity and Life insurance product features and mechanics and their administration systems; Programming concepts;  Knowledge of ACORD standards; Microsoft Excel functionality including Visual Basic for Applications; Data handling and analysis
  • Understanding of Life and Annuities product rules and business processes
  • Life and Annuities product development experience with a Policy Administration System; ALIP Product Configuration is preferable
  • Advocate of Agile practices and culture
