We are seeking a proactive and energetic individual to join our Commercial team as a Senior Manager - Underwriting & Member Services. This role focuses on creating, implementing, and managing strategies for end-to-end services in Club Marine Underwriting & Member Services. The goal is to align these strategies with both business and customer objectives, ensuring that targets are achieved to provide exceptional service to customers and business partners.
You'll be responsible for:
- Lead the Underwriting, Member Services and Product function at Club Marine, including the development of strategic plans in addition to establishing, communicating, and reviewing the services and resources, within accountability, to optimise Club Marine’s risk profile and minimise losses.
- Ensure Underwriting is completed within technical directions and that premiums charged are in line with pricing requirements in addition to meeting Allianz Risk Frameworks and Underwriting Standards.
- Effectively manage and monitor Member Services to achieve target customer outcomes with current product knowledge and engaged teams.
- Ensure all relevant reporting is completed within required timeframe, monitor, and manage customer feedback utilising appropriate databases, and conduct regular trend analysis to support process streamlining.
- Accountable for the obligations, risks and relevant controls that relate to the Underwriting & Member Services business unit and associated processes.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new products or change to existing products as informed by analysis, market, and customer research. Implement product strategies and provide oversight of the end-to-end product lifecycle, including adherence to governance and achievement of portfolio performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and supporting process and systems improvements.
- Develop internal and external stakeholder partnerships through regular effective communication and reporting solutions. Identify and actively seek opportunities to interact in internal and external collaborative networks to improve business outcomes.
- Encourage team to be innovative, identify business opportunities, share knowledge and ideas, and provide constructive feedback leading to customer and business benefit through customer satisfaction and team development.
Important to your success:
- Significant experience in the marine industry at a senior technical level.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with clients, intermediaries, and service providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of key underwriting risk principles and solid understanding of target market
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential.
