We're seeking a Credit Officer to join Hunter Premium Funding based in our Melbourne office and reporting into Operations Manager.

You'll be responsible for
  • Providing agreed levels of customer service in accordance with AAL/HPF standards for customer communication, delivery, handling queries and follow-up service.
  • Adhering to AAL/HPF policies and procedures including customer service standards, privacy and record keeping to maintain compliance obligations.
  • Communicating with relevant departments to assist in resolving credit issues for a timely and beneficial outcome, referring to Legal where necessary.
  • Maintaining constructive client relations through a balance of appropriate customer service skills and efficient credit management practices.
  • Communicating and negotiating with policyholders and/or intermediaries to resolve overdue accounts, following up to ensure commitments made by clients are met.
 
About you
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions taken.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Basic understanding of finance/lending.
