The Easy Living line of business aims to support the end-customer when they need it the most: Through domestic care, nursing at home, rehabilitation services and home modifications, teleconsultation, psychological assistance after a hospitalization, immobilisation or accident; funeral assistance after the loss of a relative or prevention and wellbeing services.  

Mobile Devices and Digital Risk (MDDR) is providing Insurance and services to protect customers’ mobile phones, electronic devices and home appliances against accidental damages and internal breakdown as well as solutions combining insurance and services to protect customers against digital risk. 

These services are distributed essentially in a B2B or B2B2C context.  

The Head of Product Development Easy Living & MDDR will be part of the Product & Underwriting team which is responsible for  Underwriting, Portfolio Monitoring & Remediation, Actuarial and Product Development for the Easy Living & MDDR line of business.

 

What you do

As the Senior Lead of Product Development Easy Living & MDDR you will be responsible for:  

Leadership 

  • Lead team of 3 product experts 

  • Give  guidance on all managerial and technical  topics to team members and manage challenges 

  • Take care of team members' development and performance management 

 

Product Development 

  • Define global harmonized insurance and service products for the Easy Living & MDDR line of business and  contribute to improve the Product development process and well as the global T&C (terms & conditions) process. 

  • Take ownership of and responsibility for the Master Product T&C process for the EL & MDDR line of business. Create efficient ready to use templates for all  contractual documents (policy wordings, IPIDs etc). 

  • Prepare harmonized “Benefit guide” for contractual documents (T&Cs, IPID,…) , and ensure the localization in local languages for each global master product including adaptation to local regulatory and legal requirements. 

  • Support drive towards Simplicity for the existing legacy portfolio and support all local business units in their migration and transformation towards the Simplicity Strategy. 

  • Contribute to the annual UW Guidelines  updates for the Easy Living and MDDR line of business. 

  • Work closely with Compliance, Data Privacy and Legal teams on all topics related to T&C development. 

 

Processes and product implementation 

  • Management of product compliance to Total Simplicity Strategy and corresponding product deviation process. 

  • Control of product implementation in our IT system landscape 

 

 

What you bring

  • Tertiary qualification in law or similar qualification 

  • 5+ years’ experience in dealing with insurance and/or reinsurance contractual documentation and the preparation of insurance and/or reinsurance contracts or related product development tasks 

  • Good leadership skills and ability to provide structure, organization and direction to a team with complex deliverables 

  • Willingness, ability and assertiveness to shape and drive process improvement 

  • Strong communication and team work skills, able to collaborate with various teams across departments  

  • Fluent in English, fluency in other languages is an advantage
