Who will you be joining? 

The Information Security (IS) function of Allianz Re ensures that information security risks which may impact the successful delivery of Allianz business objectives are identified and properly addressed. It ensures across all of Allianz Re's locations that Allianz information is adequately protected by preventing cyber-attacks to themost possible extent, in line with internal and external, legal and regulatory requirements. The Allianz Reinsurance working students support the team in all areas of IS capabilities (Identity & Access Management, Independent Control Assurance, Policy Management, Information Risk Management etc.).

How can you make an impact? 

• Support Allianz Re ISO Function in managing the Information Security Governance globally.
• Actively support and apply the following Information Security Capabilities: Strategy & Reporting, Steering (Compliance), IS Risk Management, Independent Control Assurance, Training & Awareness, Identity & Access management, Project Portfolio Management.

What are you made of? 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Information System, Information Security, Computer Science or similar.
• English and certifications such as CompTIA Security+, or similar are considered a plus.
• Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year
• We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:

  • Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)

  • Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA

Preferred Qualifications

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and identify security risks and vulnerabilities.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to clearly document and report security issues and findings.

Teamwork:

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share knowledge.

Attention to Detail:

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow security protocols and procedures meticulously.

Other:

• Understanding of international standards and best practices (ISO27001, ITIL, COBIT) and regulatoryenvironment
• Previous internship or working student experience in a related field. Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Basic knowledge in Operating Systems.
• Basic understanding of information security principles and practices.
• Knowledge of network security, encryption, and data protection techniques.
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software).
• Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
