Who will you be joining?
Allianz SE is the global headquarter of the Allianz Group. Our Group Risk department ensures the excellence in risk modelling and risk management for the Allianz Group and it's subsidiaries. Group Risk provides ownership and subject matter expertise for risk models, which includes developing guidelines and frameworks, governance and support for the internal risk capital model as well as the standard model.
The Working Student (f/m/d) Risk Analysis for Alternative Assets will be embedded in Group Risk`s Center of Competence for alternative assets, and is supporting risk analysis & modelling of investments in e.g. real estate, private equity, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects.
How can you make an impact?
- Contribute to the development of internal tools in R/PowerBI (e.g. for reporting purposes)
- Support on operational tasks in context of the Solvency II Internal model (e.g. quarterly risk capital closings)
- Depending on skills, perform quantitative analysis and research for calibration of risk models (e.g. time-series based models in R)
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled at a university for the entire duration of employment
- Proficient knowledge of statistical programming languages R or Python (PowerBI would be a plus)
- Practical experience in risk management / time-series analysis techniques would be a plus
- Ideally already completed undergraduate studies in statistics/data science, mathematics or related field of study

- Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in Business English; German would be a plus
- High motivation to learn about alternative assets with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong analytical skills, fast learner and attentive to details
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
