Who will you be joining? 

 

Group IT Governance as part of Group IT Governance, Strategy and Security is responsible for directing and monitoring the IT organization and processes within the Allianz Group in line with the corporate strategy and external regulations. Group IT Governance directs the IT Functions in all local entities (more than 60 countries) and Shared IT Service providers of Allianz Group via corporate rules and guidelines for IT and monitors the compliance with the corporate rules for IT via regular compliance assessments and reviews, assuring relevant transparency on controls on both group level and local entitiy level. Fulfilling these tasks, Group IT Governance works closely together with IT managers and experts from different Allianz companies across many countries, as well as with various functions on group level. The team directly reports to the Group Chief Infomation Officer.

As an intern / working student in Group IT Governance, you will support the team in all daily tasks and projects and have the opportunity to gain insights into a strategic function of globally acting financial services and insurance provider. You will be part of a dynamic team in an international environment.
 

 

How can you make an impact? 

 

Challenging and diverse governance tasks such as Compliance Assessment and Information Risk Management as well as active support of daily business with a high degree of responsibility, e.g.:

  • Analyze data from compliance questionnaires and risk documentation (excel)
  • Prepare training materials for experts in local entities and assist in case of questions
  • Prepare and design presentations for the top management level
  • Design, edit, quality assure and revise documents, both text and calculation based (e.g. communication concepts, business cases, project and process descriptions)
  • Support in project management tasks (alignment of meetings and events, milestone coordination, …)

 

What are you made of? 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

 

  • Student of Business IT / Information Systems, Management, Economics, or Computer Science (Master level preferred) with outstanding grades
  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
  • Proactive personality with analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills
  • Likes working in an international and diverse environment
  • Reliable organizational talent with the ability to provide best results under time pressure
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year
  • We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:

  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proactive personality with analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills
  • Reliable organizational talent with the ability to provide best results under time pressure
  • Very good MS Office, especially MS Excel skills
  • Very good communication skills, capable of communicating with diverse target groups
  • Likes working in an international and diverse environment
  • Previous experience in the area of (IT) Governance /  (IT) Strategy is a plus
  • Knowledge in (Information) Risk Management is a plus
  • Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL frameworks is a plus
  • Preferred start date is 1 November, but can be adapted if needed
